Ref. 116
Matt white woodfree vellum paper 70 µm with super-permanent SP123 acrylic adhesive. SP123 adheres strongly to surfaces where standard adhesives do not adhere well: varnished wood, corrugated cardboard, untreated HDPE and PP. ISEGA approval (BfR XIV) covers indirect food contact — necessary when the label is on the outside of food packaging and the specification requires compliance. Application from +5 °C; service -20 / +80 °C.
SP123 super-permanent · High tack · Indirect ISEGA · FSC® C011032 · Multi-technology
When is this material right for you?
The label goes on wood, corrugated cardboard, HDPE, PP or PVC and standard adhesive does not adhere enough: high tack is needed from first contact to prevent it from lifting.
The printing process may vary —thermal transfer, offset or other conventional systems— and you need a versatile white matt paper that works across all of them without changing material
The application touches food indirectly —secondary packaging, outer boxes or containers— and the adhesive and release liner must hold the corresponding ISEGA approvals
The project needs sustainability credentials for the material: FSC, PEFC or evidence of the manufacturer's certified environmental management
For thermal transfer, ask us for the right ribbon for this face material — we also supply it.
SP123 — the adhesive that holds where others don't
High tack on difficult surfaces + food-contact approval
The differentiator of Ref. 116 is not the vellum face — which is versatile and general-purpose — but the SP123 adhesive. A super-permanent high-tack acrylic designed for surfaces where other standard adhesives do not adhere: varnished wood, corrugated cardboard, rough HDPE, PP, PET, PVC. The 180° peel of 17.2 N/25mm and tack of 11 N ensure strong adhesion from first contact, with no wait time for the adhesive to develop.
The ISEGA approval (BfR XIV) for the SP123 adhesive, together with the BfR XXXVI approval for the GA62 release liner, makes it valid for indirect food contact: outer packaging, food boxes, warehouse or distribution labels where the adhesive does not touch the food directly but the material must comply with the regulation. Request the Declaration of Conformity from our team when ordering the sample.
The manufacturer, Adestor, holds ISO 14001, EMAS, ISO 50001, ISO 9001 and ISO 45001. Materials are available with FSC® C011032 and PEFC™ on request. For projects with sustainability requirements, these certificates cover both the factory's environmental management and the paper chain of custody.
