Why UV1P makes the difference

Water Inkjet + solar resistance + food contact

The differential angle of Ref. 875 is not just the Water Inkjet coating — other PP films accept inkjet too — but the combination with a UV1P hotmelt adhesive whose main characteristic is resistance to degradation from solar radiation. A standard hotmelt loses cohesion under prolonged UV exposure: it softens, flows, and the label ends up coming away. UV1P keeps adhesion stable outdoors for more than 2 years.

The adhesive also has approval for indirect food contact. That makes it useful for outdoor agri-food applications, fruit and vegetables, food packaging stored or displayed outdoors, or any product that combines both requirements: digital inkjet and food compliance.

The face material is a white matt cast PP with a specific coating for Water Inkjet, compatible with dye and pigment inks. Before starting production, we always recommend a test with the specific equipment and inks you will use, since performance can vary between systems.
