Matt Paper HS Inkjet / ARGIPRINT RHODA

Ref. 790

White matt paper, 149 µm, designed for industrial high speed inkjet printing. Works with dye and pigment inks. The synthetic rubber hotmelt adhesive has high tack and adheres well on both polar and non-polar surfaces. The key operating detail: with 50 g/m² of adhesive, cutting and rewinding require low speeds and controlled tension — it is not suitable for automatic dispensing.

When is this material right for you?

INDUSTRIAL INKJET

The labelling process uses industrial high speed inkjet printing and you need a matt paper with good printability for both dye and pigment inks

UNIVERSAL ADHESIVE

The bonding surface may be polar (glass, metal) or non-polar (PE, PP, untreated HDPE) and you need a single adhesive that works on both without changing material

MULTI-SECTOR

The application is multi-sector —luggage, medical, packaging or food— and labelling is manual or semi-automatic, not with standard automatic dispensing machines

COLD CHAIN

You need a wide temperature range: from cold chain through to moderate-heat environments, with the adhesive not failing between -20 and +70 °C

The high adhesive coat weight (50 g/m²) requires low cutting and rewinding speeds and controlled tension — always run a test under your real conditions before starting production.

Why adhesive coat weight dictates processing

High speed inkjet + an adhesive that rules out automatic dispensing

Ref. 790 ARGIPRINT RHODA is a white matt paper prepared for industrial high speed inkjet printing. It works with dye and pigment inks, and the synthetic rubber hotmelt adhesive has a lot of tack. Like Ref. 797, it adheres on both polar and non-polar surfaces — but here the difference lies in the base material (paper, not PP) and, above all, in the adhesive coat weight: 50 g/m².

That high coat weight is what defines its behaviour on the production line. On cutting and rewinding machines you need to go slowly and with low tension; if the speed is forced, the adhesive can bleed. This material is not suitable for standard automatic dispensing. If your line uses automatic dispensing, check with us before specifying.

The service range runs from -20 to +70 °C, valid for cold chain, aircraft hold luggage and packaging with moderate heat. Before starting production, it is advisable to run tests under the real printing, processing and bonding conditions. Shelf life is 12 months in original packaging, stored in a cool place at 50-60% relative humidity.
