Film PET / PETprint 125 µm

Ref. 748

Pure polyester film, without adhesive or release liner, with a neutral coating on both sides. The material for those who convert directly or need a print substrate that withstands where PP deforms: up to 180 °C with no loss of dimensional stability or image quality.

Ref. 748 — PET Film Without Adhesive

PETprint 125 µm · Neutral coating on both sides

No adhesive · No release liner

Pure base film, ready to convert. No adhesive layers to manage — the customer chooses their own adhesion system.

Up to 180 °C with no deformation

Withstands curing ovens, electrostatic painting and heat processes where a PP or paper would fail.

Multi-system printing

Compatible with laser, thermal transfer and other systems. If you need a compatible ribbon, ask us — we also supply it.

High dimensional stability

Density 1.4 g/cm³ and low shrinkage: print registration and cutting stay accurate throughout the roll.

Film without adhesive: validate inks and printing parameters with a sample before starting production. Request one with no obligation.

Why this material

Why adhesive-free PET opens up applications that PP doesn't cover

No adhesive = maximum versatility

With no built-in adhesive, the customer chooses and applies their own adhesion system according to the substrate, application temperature and sector regulations.

Stability where precision is critical

boPET has one of the highest dimensional rigidities among labelling films. In electronics and reprographics, where registration and cutting must stay accurate to the millimetre across long runs, it's the usual choice.

The values shown are typical manufacturer data. Always validate under the real conditions of your process before starting production.

Key advantage

Up to 180 °C

A PET film withstands where PP starts to deform. A declared resistance of 180 °C opens the door to curing ovens, electrostatic painting and wave soldering — without compromising registration or print contrast.

Melting point: 255–260 °C. A safe thermal margin even in sustained high-temperature processes.

Tensile strength MD

20 N/mm²

Tensile strength in the machine direction. Good resilience against winding and cutting tension.

Tensile strength CD

26 N/mm²

Strength in the cross direction. Higher than MD — balanced behaviour on converting lines.

Melting point

255–260 °C

Wide thermal margin between the service temperature (180 °C) and the material's melting point. No risk of deformation in typical industrial processes.

Performance by use criteria

Excellent

High temperature (process)

Withstands up to 180 °C with no loss of stability or image quality. The margin between service temperature (180 °C) and melting point (255–260 °C) gives enough headroom for high-temperature industrial processes.

Excellent

Dimensional stability

Density 1.4 g/cm³ and low shrinkage. Print registration and cutting stay accurate throughout the roll and across the process.

Excellent

Mechanical strength

Tensile strength 20/26 N/mm² (MD/CD). Behaves consistently during winding, cutting and handling on converting lines.

Limited

Elongation / Irregular surfaces

PET is rigid — low elongation. Not suitable for highly convex or irregular surfaces. In those cases, consider a more flexible PP film.

How it is built

01
Printing layer — top sideCoating prepared for ink reception. Compatible with laser, thermal transfer and other industrial printing systems.
02
PET film — structural corePolyester (PET), 125 µm. Total assembly thickness: 135 µm ± 5 %. Grammage: 189 g/m². Thermal resistance up to 180 °C. Dimensionally stable and tear-resistant.
03
Printing layer — bottom sideSame coating as the top side, allowing printing on both sides of the film.
