Lit-Off Desarrollo
Polyester PET / TT2 PS PET 50

Ref. 7872EC

Gloss platinum PET film 53 µm with UL MH18072 certification included. If your application is in electronics or industry and the component may be exposed to oils or greases, this material covers both needs. The 350E adhesive bonds permanently to metal and plastic, and the gloss platinum surface gives very high contrast with TTR ribbon.

TT2 PS PET 50 · 350E · 65DWG — Gloss platinum PET film

UL MH18072 · Oils and greases · TTR · Electronics and industry

PET film 53 µm · Gloss platinum finish

Metallised gloss platinum surface. 53 µm. High contrast for barcode printing with TTR ribbon. Dimensional stability in industrial environments.

350E adhesive · 46 µm · Permanent on metal and plastic

350E permanent acrylic adhesive, 46 µm. High bond strength on metal surfaces and industrial plastics. Resists oils, greases and process fluids without lifting.

UL MH18072 certification

UL MH18072 certificate included. Covers the usual identification requirements in electronics manufacturing. Check that the file number matches what your project requires.

TTR resin printing / Lit-Off ribbon

Thermal transfer (TTR) printing. Use a resin or wax-resin ribbon compatible with metallised PET for the best image quality and durability. If you need a compatible ribbon, contact us — we supply that too.

Why this material

Why the gloss platinum finish plus UL MH18072 certification makes the difference in industrial electronics

The problem: labels with a UL requirement and exposure to lubricants

In electronics manufacturing and industry, many projects require the label to be made from a recognised UL-certified material; for this film, that is file number MH18072. In addition, many of those components pass through assembly or maintenance areas where contact with oils and greases is common. A label without UL certification fails quality control. A label that lifts or fades on contact with lubricant causes loss of traceability.

Ref. 7872EC solves both problems with a single material.

Gloss platinum: the finish that improves barcode reading

The gloss platinum finish is not just cosmetic. The contrast between the metallised background and the black TTR ink improves barcode reading in variable light conditions or on automated production lines. It is the finish of choice when barcode read quality is critical to the process.

Unlike a matt finish, gloss platinum reflects light evenly, which helps barcode readers capture the image more consistently.

Key advantage

UL MH18072 + Gloss platinum

Most PET films are white or matt metallised. The 7872EC combines the gloss platinum finish — which optimises barcode reading — with UL MH18072 certification and the oil and grease resistance of the 350E adhesive. All three attributes in a single construction. If the project calls for UL MH18072 on a surface that may come into contact with lubricants, this is the right material.

Check that the UL file number matches the project requirement before production. Consult our technical team.
