PET White TC 50 / RC18 / HD70

Ref. 820

A white PET film 50 µm with 25% recycled PET built in. The RC18 UV-acrylic adhesive holds its bond from -40 °C to +200 °C, which makes it valid for high-temperature processes. With 92% opacity, the background is fully covered. Compatible with TTR printing.

When is this material right for you?

HIGH TEMPERATURE

The label will go through a high-temperature process: paint oven, vulcanisation, curing or an industrial hot zone

RECYCLED MATERIAL

The project or customer values or requires recycled material content in the labelling

WHITE BACKGROUND

A fully white, opaque background is needed so the print stands out on any surface

EXTREME COLD

The environment of use also includes extreme cold and a wide working range is needed without risk of losing adhesion

If the maximum process temperature does not exceed 100-120 °C, there are white PET constructions with more economical adhesives that offer sufficient performance. Contact us.

How to choose well

This material versus other white PET options

If the maximum process temperature does not exceed 100-120 °C, there are white PET constructions with standard adhesives that offer adequate performance at lower cost. RC18 earns its keep when the process involves real temperatures above that range, or when the -40 °C to +200 °C range is an explicit technical requirement.

The 25% recycled content is built into the film, not a surface add-on. It matters when the project needs to demonstrate recovered material content for sustainability audits or supply chain commitments. If that is not relevant to the project, equivalent options without recycled content are available.

92% opacity covers most surfaces well. For applications requiring opacity above 95%, or very dark surfaces with a highly visible background, it is worth checking before production.

Before you specify

Real process temperature

Tell us the peak temperature and the exposure time. RC18 withstands +200 °C, but the duration of exposure also affects the final result.

TTR printing at high temperature

Use resin ribbon for the best results. Wax-resin is the minimum valid option, checking compatibility with your supplier. Wax ribbon is not suitable on white PET.

From -40 °C to +200 °C, the latter in process peaks rather than prolonged continuous exposure. The acrylic base also provides good long-term resistance to ageing and humidity.

Do you need to validate this material for your application?

Tell us the peak process temperature, the surface and the conditions of use. We will confirm whether Ref. 820 is the right material in less than 24 hours.

If you need recycled content documentation for your audits, include that request in the form.

Before you order

What you should know

The RC18 adhesive is specified for high temperature. Before production, run an adhesion test on the real surface and at the peak process temperature. The duration of heat exposure also matters: a 30-second peak is not the same as continuous exposure.

For TTR ribbon, resin gives the best results if the label will operate above 70 °C in service. If the operating temperature is lower, a wax-resin ribbon may be enough.

If you need to document the recycled content for audits or ESG commitments, ask us for the film manufacturer's documentation when placing your sample order.

Frequently asked questions before production

Does it resist in a paint oven or curing process?

RC18 works up to +200 °C. If the process involves temperatures within that range, it is the right adhesive. Tell us the peak temperature and exposure duration so we can confirm before production starts.

What ribbon do I need if the label will be in a hot area?

Resin ribbon for the best results. Wax-resin as the minimum valid option. Wax is not suitable on white PET regardless of the service temperature.

Does the 25% recycled content have a certificate or verifiable documentation?

Yes. The film manufacturer documents the recovered PET content. We can provide that documentation for your sustainability audits or ESG reports. Request it when ordering a sample or a quote.
