PP Matt Fast Inkjet / EMPP00H

Ref. 797

A white matt PP film, 100 µm, with a specific coating for high-speed fast inkjet printing. The synthetic rubber hotmelt adhesive delivers high tack and works on both polar and non-polar surfaces. Service between -20 and +70 °C. Multi-sector: luggage, medical, packaging and food.

When is this the right material?

FAST INKJET

The labelling process uses high-speed fast inkjet printing and you need a matt PP with a specific coating that fixes the ink well without smudging or bleeding

UNIVERSAL ADHESIVE

The bonding surface may be polar (glass, metal) or non-polar (PE, untreated PP, HDPE) and you need a single adhesive that works on both without having to change material

MULTI-SECTOR

The application is multi-sector — airline luggage, the medical sector, secondary packaging or food — and in every case it is printed at high speed directly in line

COLD CHAIN

The label must remain stable in both cold-chain and elevated-temperature environments, with the adhesive not failing between -20 and +70 °C

Always run a water-resistance test on the ink with your specific equipment before starting production.

Why synthetic rubber changes the picture

Fast inkjet + an adhesive that bonds to almost any surface

The differential angle of Ref. 797 is the combination of two things that don't usually go together: a matt PP prepared for high-speed fast inkjet printing, and a high-tack synthetic rubber hotmelt adhesive. Conventional acrylic adhesives work well on polar surfaces but struggle with untreated non-polar plastics. The synthetic rubber in this hotmelt solves that: it bonds to glass and metal as well as to PE, PP or HDPE, with no need for corona treatment or a change of material.

The service range is wide: from -20 to +70 °C. That makes it valid for cold-chain labels, temperature-controlled logistics, luggage labelling exposed to changing conditions in an aircraft hold, or packaging lines with moderately hot environments. The adhesive's softening point is around 92 °C, so it is not suitable for processes with sustained intense heat.

Before starting production, a print test is needed with the specific equipment and ink formulation. Water resistance behaviour can vary depending on the fast inkjet system and speed. The material can be stored for up to 12 months in its original packaging, in a cool place at 50-60% relative humidity.
