A white conformable polypropylene film designed to identify cryogenic containers of laboratory samples: vials, tubes and boxes stored between -150 °C and -196 °C in liquid nitrogen. The RP CRYO acrylic adhesive keeps the label bonded and the information legible throughout the sample's cryogenic life — and the material also withstands steam sterilisation at 121 °C.

Conformable face for vials and tubes
The white PP film with top coating conforms to the curved surfaces of polypropylene vials and tubes, and also to PP and cardboard storage boxes.
Multi-system printing
Suitable for flexo, screen and offset printing. Thermal transfer is possible with selected wax-resin and resin ribbons — we also supply them.
Respect the minimum application temperature of -10 °C at the moment of labelling. Always validate the material under the real conditions of your process before starting production.

Why cryogenic labelling needs a dedicated adhesive
The problem at -196 °C
A standard label applied to a vial headed for liquid nitrogen ends up peeling off or becoming illegible — and an unidentified biological sample is a lost sample. Ref. 926 is built specifically for this scenario: the RP CRYO acrylic adhesive and the PP face keep the label bonded and the information legible in the -150 °C to -196 °C range, throughout the sample's cryogenic life.
Application: label before freezing
The minimum application temperature is -10 °C: the label is applied to the vial or tube before it goes into extreme cold, not inside it. From there, the material withstands up to 10 thaw and freeze cycles — thawing at room temperature, in warm water or with ice — without compromising identification.

Key advantage
From -196 °C to autoclave at 121 °C
Very few materials cover both extremes of the laboratory at once: immersion in liquid nitrogen and steam sterilisation at 121 °C. Ref. 926 does both with the same label, avoiding relabelling between processes and removing the risk of losing sample traceability.
