Ref. 176360
A white security polyester film, 38 µm, with a Top Coating designed specifically for tamper-evident labels. When removal of the label is attempted, the film releases a visible chequered pattern: the tampering is left in evidence irreversibly. Permanent water-based acrylic A1 adhesive. Suitable for indirect food contact per FDA 175.105.
Tamper-evident VOID · Peel not determinable · Permanent water-based A1 adhesive · Suitable for FDA 175.105 (indirect food contact)
When is this the right material?
You need any attempt to remove the label to leave a visible chequered pattern on the substrate — visual, irreversible evidence of the tampering
The application requires a material with service from -30 to +120 °C: frozen goods, cold chain, solar exposure or surfaces subject to temperature
The application involves indirect food contact and FDA 175.105 compliance is required — the water-based A1 adhesive is approved for this use
Thermal transfer (TT) printing on the security label is required — the Top Coating supports TT overprinting as well as flexography, offset, letterpress and screen printing
Suitable for indirect food contact (FDA 175.105). Always validate under the real conditions of your application before starting production.
The chequered VOID pattern: evidence of tampering that can't be hidden
Security PET that exposes any attempt at removal
Ref. 176360 (PET WHITE SECURITY 36/80 TC) combines two functions in a single label: tamper-evident security and high-quality print capability. The white polyester film, 38 µm, is designed so that, when someone tries to peel it off, it releases a chequered VOID pattern onto the bonded surface. There is no way to reposition it or erase the evidence.
In standard peel tests (FTM 1 and FTM 9), the value is not determinable: the film's front security structure prevents measurement because the material gives way before the adhesive does. That confirms the security mechanism works as it should. The permanent water-based acrylic A1 adhesive offers medium-high initial tack and high final adhesion, with shear above 10 hours on stainless steel.
The service range runs from -30 to +120 °C, with a minimum application temperature of +5 °C. The Top Coating supports thermal transfer (TT) printing and is also compatible with flexography, offset, letterpress and screen printing, including UV inks. Shelf life of 2 years when stored at 20-25 °C and 40-50% RH.

Security pattern
VOID
Peeling off the label leaves a visible, irreversible chequered pattern on the surface. Cannot be reused.
Peel (FTM 1 / FTM 9)
Not determinable
The film's front security structure prevents measurement — that is the product's security feature, not a limitation.
