Green PET tape · Ref. 3565
36 µm green polyester tape with silicone adhesive, to mask the areas that are not painted and to be removed without leaving adhesive residue. Compared with Ref. 2560, it has a thicker film, more adhesion and more dielectric strength. For powder coating, cataphoresis, anodizing and printed circuit boards. Maximum temperature: 210 °C.
Green polyester · Silicone adhesive · Powder coating · Cataphoresis · Anodizing · Circuit boards · Clean removal
When is this the right tape?
Mask threads, holes and contact surfaces before oven curing, up to 210 °C
When you need more grip than with Ref. 2560: ≥ 600 g/25 mm on steel
Protect the areas that must not be coated in cataphoresis (e-coat) and anodizing
Masking of printed circuit boards; dielectric strength ≥ 6 kV
Always validate the tape on your actual part and in your real cycle (temperature and time) before starting production.
Why Ref. 3565
More film, more adhesion, 210 °C
Ref. 3565 is the thicker-film version of Ref. 2560: the same type of tape, green polyester with silicone adhesive, with a 36 µm film instead of 25 µm. It is designed to mask the areas of the part that are not coated and to be removed afterwards without leaving adhesive residue.
According to the data sheet, it has more steel adhesion (≥ 600 g/25 mm), more tensile strength (> 140 N/25 mm) and more dielectric strength (≥ 6 kV), and its maximum temperature is 210 °C. It has very good initial tack and protects the surface from chemicals and splashes.
It is used in powder coating, cataphoresis, anodizing and masking of printed circuit boards. If the process exceeds 210 °C or the tape has to work as an electrical insulator, see Ref. 4201, a polyimide tape.

Frequently asked questions
What is Ref. 3565 used for?
To mask the areas of a part that must not be coated during powder coating, cataphoresis, anodizing and printed circuit board processes. It is removed afterwards without leaving adhesive residue and protects the surface from chemicals and splashes.
What temperature does it withstand?
The data sheet gives a maximum temperature of 210 °C. It does not give an exposure time, so it is advisable to test it in your actual curing cycle, with your temperature and your time, before production.
What is the difference between Ref. 3565 and Ref. 2560?
Both are green polyester with silicone adhesive. Ref. 3565 has a thicker film (36 µm versus 25 µm), more steel adhesion (≥ 600 versus ≥ 520 g/25 mm), more dielectric strength (6 versus 4 kV) and reaches 210 °C instead of 200 °C.
Does it leave adhesive residue when removed?
It is designed to be removed without leaving residual adhesive. It has a 0.030 mm silicone adhesive with very good initial tack.
What format is it supplied in?
In 66 m rolls. The width is adapted to your application: tell us when requesting the sample.
Do you need to validate this tape?
Tell us the process, the curing temperature and time, and the areas to be protected. We will send you a sample to test on your actual part.
